Myles Bigelow's M.O. Project Live
From Boston to Cuba, New York to Vancouver, bandleader Myles Bigelow has been lending his skills to countless groups (K-OS, Orlando Valle, 1LUV) over the years. Now this 26-year-old master latin percussionist leads the 6 piece M.O Project where classic elements of soul, funk, electro and Hip Hop combine with the infectious rhythms of tropical music. Joining Myles is Ozzius Atreides, Colin Pombo, and Ashleigh Ball of Hey Ocean on vocals plus members of Kutapira supporting three deep on percussion duties. www.myspace.com/bfilthy

Chris Lima and Aklimatize 2 x 4 x 2 MPD DJ Set
Coming off an amazing summer tour spreading from Tofino to Toronto, Montreal to New York, Aklimatize and Chris Lima bring it all back to Vancity to drop their latest goods on the hometown crowd. No rules or egos here, just a focus on hip-shaking beats, turntablist skills and on-the-fly remixing that'll both engage you and make you sweat. Be prepared to get a dose of heavy Brazilian & Afro-funk, Soul, Electronica and Hip Hop dance floor bombs. Quality vs. quantity reigns true in this camp, and if you've seen them in action before you'll know why these two are busy playing shows and releasing music worldwide.
